Their radical lifestyles were characterized by a sense of urgency and divine purpose. The gospel had implications they understood. On that day a great persecution broke out against the church in Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria…Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all that there were no needy persons among them. With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. ![]()
